Osteokolle is the scientific name for knobby or tubular shaped aggregates consisting of 
calciumcarbonate. In Germany the word "Lösskindel" was established for these aggregates growing when calciumcarbonate from upper soil is dissolved and reestablished in areas of deeper ground.
This Osteokolle specimen shows typical knobby shape and has a size of more than 10 cm !
